Meet Amanda…
Nationally Board Certified, Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yoga, Thai Certified, Owner of Kuleana Holistic Health.
You get an idea of the philosophy behind Amanda Lee’s acupuncture practice by catching the tail end of one of her yoga classes. Amanda, who has a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as yoga teaching and Thai massage certifications, concludes each class by having students vigorously rub their hands together. Experiencing the creation of a bit of qi, each student then places their hands wherever on their body they feel they need it most.
After years of education, practice, and discovery, Amanda now runs a Hermosa Beach-based acupuncture practice Kuleana Holistic Health. A typical appointment may include cupping, guasha, and/or an herbal consultation, depending on the needs and wants of the patient.
Amanda grew up on the island of Martha’s Vineyard and moved to Southern California after college, where she studied at Northeastern University’s vaunted pre-med program. In the midst of preparing for the MCAT, she took a trip to Sri Lanka to work at an orphanage. It was there that she first began seriously practicing yoga, and when she returned, she underwent teacher training. Upon completing her training, Amanda began teaching yoga and also became a spin instructor. As often happens, such an active lifestyle began taking a toll on her body, which she addressed with regular acupuncture treatments. It was during this time that Amanda fell in love with the power of acupuncture.
Years later, on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica, Amanda decided to dedicate herself to the study and practice of acupuncture. Upon her return to the U.S., she enrolled at Emperor’s College. During her time there, she participated in clinical training at Being Alive Community Clinic in West Hollywood, California, as well as at the prestigious Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank, California, and Venice Family Clinic in Santa Monica. Amanda graduated with honors and a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the esteemed Emperor’s College in May 2018.
Amanda Lee is nationally board-certified and licensed by the State of California. She continues to teach a variety of yoga, and group fitness classes in the South Bay. She lives in Manhattan Beach with her Husband Rian and pet potbelly pig "Piggie Smallz"!

Meet Shabana…
Massage Therapist & Holistic Wellness Practitioner
Shabana is a deeply compassionate, grounded, and knowledgeable holistic health practitioner. Originally from New York, she officially set roots in Southern California in 2023. Her journey into the world of wellness began in her early thirties, when she returned to school to study a wide range of Eastern and Western medical modalities, including Traditional Chinese Medicine and holistic health. She has been working professionally in the field since 2012 and brings over a decade of experience to her clients.
As a Massage Therapist, Shabana specializes in sports, medical, and prenatal massage. Her sessions are highly personalized, thoughtfully combining techniques to support each individual’s physical and energetic needs. Her integrative approach may include myofascial release, Amma (a traditional Chinese-Japanese acupressure massage), reflexology, biofield therapy (a scientific umbrella term for practices like acupuncture and Reiki), and somatic techniques designed to soothe the nervous system and promote deep healing. She believes in addressing not just the muscles, but the root causes of imbalance—working on both physical and energetic levels.
Shabana is also a strong advocate for patient education. She empowers her clients with tools and knowledge to support their healing between sessions—whether it’s understanding proper body mechanics, home remedies for pain and inflammation, plant-based nutrition tips, or how to use self-care tools like massage balls or heat therapy effectively. She also refers out to other trusted practitioners, such as acupuncturists and chiropractors, when collaborative care is needed.
A cancer survivor, Shabana brings profound empathy and perspective to her work. Her personal journey has deepened her passion for guiding others toward balanced, mindful, and healthy living—always addressing the root of the issue with compassion, wisdom, and care.
Beyond her work with people, Shabana is also a certified animal massage therapist. In 2015, she volunteered for nearly two years at The Gentle Barn, a farm animal sanctuary in Santa Clarita, where she provided massage and energy healing to rescued animals recovering from abuse and neglect. Since returning to California in 2023, she’s continued this heart-centered work by supporting abused horses at equine rescues, along with offering healing touch to dogs and cats. Her connection with animals runs deep, and they often respond in kind—lining up for their turn or hopping on the massage table themselves.
Shabana is a passionate advocate for animals and the natural world, living in alignment with her values through a vegan lifestyle, ongoing education, and daily practices rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and connection. She’s also a writer, artist, traveler, and intuitive cook—known for preparing delicious plant-based meals while dancing to K-pop.
At Kuleana Holistic Health, Shabana blends science and spirit, intuition and technique, in service of helping others reconnect with their bodies, their purpose, and the world around them.

Meet Marcele…
Certified Reiki I & II, Intuitive Healing, Access Bars, and Akashic Records Practitioner
Marcele was born and raised in Brazil and has called California home for over 20 years. A devoted yogi, world traveler, and lifelong student of personal growth and spirituality, she brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to everything she does.
Her journey into healing began more than a decade ago as she searched for holistic ways to support her own well-being. A pivotal moment came during a Yin Yoga training at Solseek Yoga with Amanda and Justin, where she received her first Reiki attunement. That experience opened her heart and mind in unexpected ways, initiating a deep transformation and revealing layers of herself that had long been buried beneath life’s demands and emotional patterns.
Inspired by this shift, Marcele began exploring a variety of energy healing practices. As she experienced profound changes in her own life, she felt called to share these tools with others. She is now certified in Reiki I & II, Intuitive Healing, Access Bars, and the Akashic Records.
Marcele’s approach is gentle, intuitive, and grounded in heart-centered connection. She believes that healing is a process of returning to our natural state of wholeness. Whether you’re seeking emotional relief, energetic balance, or deeper clarity, her sessions provide a safe and nurturing space to support your personal journey—wherever you are on the path.
